The God of the universe looks upon those who are humble, those who tremble at his word.

“This is what the Lord says:

Over the holidays, I visited family in New Jersey. There are believers in NY/NJ, but there is also much unbelief and intolerance toward Christian values in this area of the US. Perhaps more interestingly, there are many Jewish people in NY/NJ. In fact, the population in Lakewood NJ is about 59% Jewish, making it home to one of the largest Jewish populations in the US.

In the last days, the Bible tells us God will bring the Jewish people back to Israel (Isaiah 11:11-12, Jeremiah 23:3-8, et. al.). While in NJ on this last trip, I kept wondering, What will cause so many Jewish people to leave their homes and return to the promised land? Either something big would have to happen in Israel to entice everyone back, or something catastrophic would have to occur in NY/NJ to push people out. Or both.

Perhaps the pandemic will worsen, or another plague will occur. Or perhaps the supply chain will collapse entirely, and Israel will promise life in abundance to those who return to the land. Or perhaps a natural disaster near the tri-state area will make life less bearable there. Or perhaps a series of events, or spikes in civil unrest, will cause people to progressively move out of the area. Or…insert your best guess here. Time will tell. God has already laid His plans, and His plans are perfect and good, even if they don’t make sense to our puny human minds.

In the meantime, we must watch and pray. I’m praying for everyone in the tri-state area, Jews and Gentiles alike. God wishes that none would perish, but that all would come to believe Jesus is The Messiah.

“And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” – Hebrews 4:13

Humans, we must live as though we will give an account to God for our every thought, word, and deed because we will. If you would like God to forgive any of your thoughts, words, and deeds, then you must put your trust in Jesus. You cannot forgive your own sins. No human can forgive your sins. Sin is so great that only God can forgive it, and that’s just what He did on the cross.

Jesus, God in flesh, became sin, and our sin was crucified with Him. Humans now have a way to stand blameless before God. Jesus paid the way. Jesus is the way. If you want to stand blameless before God on the day you give an account, you don’t have to do anything except believe. Believe that Jesus is Savior. He’s your Savior. He’s the Savior of the world.
