It’s time to harvest wild lettuce (Lactuca virosa). This herb really does kill pain. The milky substance inside the stem and leaves (Lacticarium) works like Advil. It can knock you out, too, which is good if you need that. Don’t operate heavy equipment after taking wild lettuce.
You can cut up the leaves and stems and freeze them for year-round use. You can also dehydrate the milky substance, make tea, make tinctures, etc.
Wild lettuce grows as a weed practically everywhere.
For more information on this herb, see the YouTube channel of Mike Reed Outdoors. He covers Wild Lettuce extensively. As always, forage carefully and responsibly. You are liable for your own actions.
