The Bible tells us that when Christ appears to take His Christians to be with Him, the dead will rise first and then the living. How much time passes between the resurrection of the dead and the translation of the living? Seconds? Minutes? Hours? A full day? Will living Christians temporarily feel like they’ve been left behind? Will Christ call us up by name, one by one, or will He catch us up all at once?

I examine scripture and also offer some of my own thoughts about the events of the rapture. Whatever the case may be, make sure you’re ready for Jesus. Believe the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit will seal you for the day of resurrection.

Note: It’s possible that graves will not open at the rapture. If Jesus resurrects the dead while they’re in the grave, He will then be able to transport them directly to Himself without disturbing the ground. Scripture tells us Christ’s own resurrected body was able to transport through time and space.

Note: A backslidden Christian is still a Christian. Nothing can undo our salvation because we’re sealed by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God. There’s nothing stronger than God, so nothing can unseal our souls. Even when we’re faithless, God is faithful. The danger is when a person is self-deceived about being saved when he or she is not. If you are openly and happily sinning and God is not chastising you and the Holy Spirit is not convicting you, then you may not actually be saved. In all likelihood, you’re worshipping a false, permissive Jesus. Our Good Father chastises His true Children, and the Holy Spirit convicts those inside of whom He dwells. If you are practicing sin and are not being convicted, then it’s time to repent and believe in Jesus.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

God is perfect and lives forever. He created humans to live with Him forever, but humans sinned. We’re all sinful and our bodies die. There’s nothing we can do to forgive our own sins and make our bodies immortal. We need God to give us a clean soul and a body that will never die. God loves us so much He sent His Son Jesus to Earth to do just that.

Jesus is perfect, yet He took our sins upon himself when He died on the cross. He bore our pain. He suffered Hell on the cross so that whoever believes in Him doesn’t have to suffer Hell for eternity. Jesus died and was buried in a tomb. God raised Jesus to life, into an immortal body three days later.

Receive Jesus– Right Now—and Be Saved for Eternity!

If you would like to receive Jesus as your Savior, right now. All you have to do is believe. Believe that Jesus, God’s Son, took all your sins upon Himself when He died on the cross, that He was buried, and that God raised Him from the dead. Repent from any false beliefs and believe that Jesus alone is your Savior, the Savior of the World, the Messiah, the Son of God. That’s all you have to do.

Whoever believes in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection receives forgiveness of sins and eternal life with God. In Jesus, and in Jesus alone, we have peace with God! In Jesus alone, we are children of God. In Jesus, your soul is made clean and the Holy Spirit seals you for the day of resurrection, the day on which you will receive a new and immortal body.

You’re a new creation in Christ, inside out—body and soul. As a new creation, you get to live with God for eternity.

What Happens If I Reject Jesus as the Only Way to God?

Rejection of the truth, that Jesus alone saves, is the greatest sin a human can commit. If you remain in unbelief, you will be cast into the lake of fire, known as Hell, for eternity.

I Believe Jesus is Savior. Now what?

Turn away from false religions, man-made traditions, superstitions, idols, and self-made beliefs. Stop trusting in your own efforts and the systems and products of this world for your security and happiness. Trust God alone.

Turn away from all sin, such as anger, grudges, immoral thoughts and deeds, gossip, hateful thoughts and speech, selfishness, pride, greed, laziness, and the empty pleasures of this life.

Talk to God continually in prayer. Read the Bible daily. Start with the Gospel of John if you’ve never read the Bible before. Worship God with other believers. Try joining a local church, and ask about baptism.

Go and tell others about Jesus. Wait eagerly for Jesus’ appearing, at which time all who are in Christ will receive resurrected bodies.
