Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. -Matthew 7:21-23

Jesus still works miracles through His servants today, but not every miracle worker is serving the Gospel of Jesus Christ or operating by the Holy Spirit. Christians can abuse God’s gifts, and Satan and his servants use occult power. Test every miracle worker, just as we’re instructed to test the spirits (1 John 4:1-6).

If someone is truly serving Christ, he or she will be spreading the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, not a corrupted gospel. Jesus is the only way to the Father. Period. If someone does not proclaim that salvation comes through God’s grace by faith in Christ alone, then there’s a problem. Fear of being divisive is no excuse for concealing the truth of Christ’s supremacy.

A true servant of Christ seeks not to build his own name, but to point everyone to Jesus—to glorify Jesus’ name. This person will never take credit for God’s miracles.

A true servant doesn’t seek money or a following. Money and popularity might come as a result of proclaiming the Gospel, but a true servant of Jesus will seek the Kingdom first and let God take care of funding and followers.

A true servant of Christ values the Bible as God’s word. He or she will encourage others to study and treasure the Word with zeal. Yes, we are to be doers of God’s Word, and not just students of it. But we can’t effectively work for God unless we learn about Him.

A true miracle worker will not make other Christians feel inadequate because they don’t work miracles. Each member of the body has different spiritual gifts, and not everyone will work miracles. Each servant of Christ should use whatever gifts he or she has been given to proclaim and further the Gospel, to glorify God, and to build up other Christians.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

God is perfect and lives forever. He created humans to live with Him forever, but humans sinned. We’re all sinful and our bodies die. There’s nothing we can do to forgive our own sins and make our bodies immortal. We need God to give us a clean soul and a body that will never die. God loves us so much He sent His Son Jesus to Earth to do just that.

Jesus is perfect, yet He took our sins upon himself when He died on the cross. He bore our pain. He suffered Hell on the cross so that whoever believes in Him doesn’t have to suffer Hell for eternity. Jesus died and was buried in a tomb. God raised Jesus to life, into an immortal body three days later.

Receive Jesus– Right Now—and Be Saved for Eternity!

If you would like to receive Jesus as your Savior, right now. All you have to do is believe. Believe that Jesus, God’s Son, took all your sins upon Himself when He died on the cross, that He was buried, and that God raised Him from the dead. Repent from any false beliefs and believe that Jesus alone is your Savior, the Savior of the World, the Messiah, the Son of God. That’s all you have to do.

Whoever believes in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection receives forgiveness of sins and eternal life with God. In Jesus, and in Jesus alone, we have peace with God! In Jesus alone, we are children of God. In Jesus, your soul is made clean and the Holy Spirit seals you for the day of resurrection, the day on which you will receive a new and immortal body.

You’re a new creation in Christ, inside out—body and soul. As a new creation, you get to live with God for eternity.

What Happens If I Reject Jesus as the Only Way to God?

Rejection of the truth, that Jesus alone saves, is the greatest sin a human can commit. If you remain in unbelief, you will be cast into the lake of fire, known as Hell, for eternity.

I Believe Jesus is Savior. Now what?

Turn away from false religions, man-made traditions, superstitions, idols, and self-made beliefs. Stop trusting in your own efforts and the systems and products of this world for your security and happiness. Trust God alone.

Turn away from all sin, such as anger, grudges, immoral thoughts and deeds, gossip, hateful thoughts and speech, selfishness, pride, greed, laziness, and the empty pleasures of this life.

Talk to God continually in prayer. Read the Bible daily. Start with the Gospel of John if you’ve never read the Bible before. Worship God with other believers. Try joining a local church, and ask about baptism.

Go and tell others about Jesus. Wait eagerly for Jesus’ appearing, at which time all who are in Christ will receive resurrected bodies.

If churches in the West truly believed that the Gospel of Jesus is the power of God to save, we would be raising up evangelists from our own congregations and taking the Gospel into the communities around us. Instead of leading with the Gospel, we host events or provide services to our communities with the hopes that attendees will come to church and hear the Gospel later…at some point.

We market our churches, but we fail to market for Jesus. We spend our time and effort building relationships with unbelievers rather than proclaiming the Gospel to all, shaking off the dust where we’re not received, and developing strong fellowship with those who receive Jesus.

We have kicked the Gospel of Jesus out of our sanctuaries and church events because we’re afraid of offending man, all the while, caring very little about how we’ve offended God. We treat Christ like the tail and not the head. We’ve forsaken our Christian duty to boldly proclaim Jesus, apostatized from God’s purpose for us. We have the form of godliness, but we deny the very power of God.

The Gospel is the power of God to save. It’s time to take back evangelism, to lead all church, and life, activities with the Gospel. We can no longer allow worldly models to run our churches but must trust in God’s simple, yet infinitely powerful model, for winning souls. We must do as Jesus commands in His Great Commission—go, teach, and baptize.

Don’t wait for your church to change. Be a lone evangelist if you must. Go now, in the name of Jesus! No excuses before God.
